New Floors

It’s a pretty big milestone here at pikapika….we finally got a new floor! It is a bit sad to see our purple/pink floor gone, but this new floor makes the shop so much brighter! Everyone here at pikapika has always talked about getting a new floor for the shop, hardwood?….polish concrete?…but now we have it! Thanks to my uncle, mom, dad, Kohei, and Neil We are almost done with the upgrade! The hardest part by far was moving the machines around…I mean each one weighs about 1800 lbs?

It makes me so happy to see the store finally coming together! It’s been a good 4.75 years, and to see a new floor is such a huge thing for all of us! It definitely brings a smile to all of us here, and I hope it makes all of your experiences here at the shop that much better! I know…I know…you’re thinking…RYAN IT’S JUST A FLOOR…but it really means so much more to all of us here at pikapika…

Cherry Blossoms!

They are finally here! The cherry blossoms are starting to bloom in Japantown! Reminds me of Japan! I have loved to look at the sakura ever since I was little! Cherry blossoms meant, spring break, longer days, warmer days (most of the time), and THE CHERRY BLOSSOM FESTIVAL in JAPANTOWN! It’s going to be great! If you haven’t been then you must come to check it out! Here is the official website http://nccbf.org/. There’s food, entertainment, and great times! Pika Pika will be doing a few specials during the festival. You’ll just have to come out and see what they are!

Thank you to all who came out last Friday for our Japan Relief Day! It was great to see so many people coming in to support the relief efforts. With the pics and with the donation box we were able to raise $257! All of this will be donated to the Northern Japan Relief Fund. You can find the donation button at the jcccnc website.

A friend of mine will be hosting a benefit concert called “KOKORO” for the Japan Relief on Thurs, 3/24 @ the Marin Academy in San Rafael at 6:30pm. If you would like to see some taiko, and donate to a great cause then make sure to check it out!

Our thoughts and prayers go out to all the families affected by the earthquake and tsunami in Japan. We will have a special PikaPika Japan Relief Day this Friday. All day Pika Pika will donate $1 for every machine and every pikapeep made all day. We will try to do what we can to help and heal.

Scavanger Hunt Hearts

The third set of loving hearts from the Scavenger Hunt! I hope you all were able to escape the hail this morning in the city! Now the sun is out and it’s time to enjoy the great weather while we can!
We will definitely have to make a collage of all the hearts!
